June-August 2025 Ministry Update (Including Photos)

This summer was especially busy for Purity Plan. At the end of June, we packed up for a 5-week, nonstop ministry trip to 7 churches in 6 states & Canada.

Our first meeting was an all day Sunday meeting at Falls International Baptist Church in Sioux Falls, SD. Pastor Jeremy Holloway and his family were a great blessing to us, and are faithfully shining the light of Jesus Christ there.

The next day, we traveled to Grand Forks, ND, to speak for a week long Family Camp with Bible Baptist Church, Pastor Ethan Custer. It was such a blessing to fellowship with the church, and our kids had a great time hanging with their friends. On Sunday, we preached, and the kids sang and did puppets for Jr. Church.

After catching our breath for a couple days, we grabbed our passports and took our first ministry trip internationally as a family to Canada. Dave preached for Pastor Mike Sullivant at Pembina Valley Baptist Church in Winkler, Manitoba for their 30th Men’s Retreat - chalk full of preaching and lots of fishing. Meanwhile, Sonja and the kids - with special friends from the church - explored the surrounding area. Then, on Sunday, we ministered with preaching and singing.

Next, with the Lord’s help, we made it to Salt Lake City, Utah. That Wednesday night, we preached and sang at Bible Baptist Church, Pastor Josh Warnakee. They were so kind to us and hosted us so well. We then drove on to Pocatello, Idaho. On Sunday, we preached and sang all day at Mountain Valley Baptist Church with their new Pastor, Elijah Whitecar. It was great to see Don & Debbie as well. As always, they spoil us. Then commenced the week-long "Camp Ignite" for teenagers. What a blessing to see teenagers responsive to the preaching and following the Lord’s leading in their lives. Many decisions were made after a specifically strong challenge on living purely.

After camp, our family was able to take in God's majestic creation at Jackson Hole, Wyoming, & the Grand Teton & Yellowstone National Parks. So awesome!

It was a blessing to be in Ennis, Montana, at Rocky Mountain Baptist Church with Pastor Nate Holt for a Sun-Wed Family Victory Conference. Then it was off to Custer, South Dakota, to be with Pastor Matt Furse and Mountainview Baptist Church. On Friday night, Dave spoke at their Hope Recovery Class. On Saturday, we enjoyed spending several hours passing out tracts and engaging folks with the Gospel message at the church’s biker booth for the 85th Harley-Davidson Sturgis Rally. We ministered on Sunday with preaching and singing. On our way back home to the Midwest, we gave a ministry update at Marion Avenue Baptist Church, Washington, Iowa, Pastor Joseph Brown.
After traveling 5,633 miles, we completed our extended trip on Thursday by returning home.
