A Word to Pastors

The facts are that many of your people are struggling with sexual temptation.  Statistics reveal a startling picture. One statistic revealed that 50% of Christian men are addicted to pornography (Marketwire.com, 2006). Another survey of men in the broader evangelical world revealed that 53% of them had viewed pornography in the past week (Internet-filter-review.toptenreviews.com)!

When you think about it, it’s possible that the numbers in your church are not far behind. You don’t have to take my word for it. If you ask your men (and young men) you may be surprised with how many of them have struggled in this area.  And some are struggling right now.



Today our culture has become toxic.  The temptations Christian men are facing in the workplace and online are increasing and resulting in disastrous consequences for their lives, their families and your church.  



As a general rule, most men will not come to you for help.  However, they know they have a need for purity and they will often be open to getting help in the battle. The answer lies in restoring God to the place He desires to have in our life, and seeing Jesus as the only source of true satisfaction.
